A yellow wave is sweeping Belgium, where the Spa-Francorchamps circuit will host one of the key endurance races of the 2022 season, the 24 Hours of Spa, this weekend. This is Valentino Rossi’s first time competing in this race, but on the presentation day in Malmedy, the public showed their love for the 9-time MotoGP champion.
The 24 Hours of Spa will be the 7th round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe. In previous races, Valentino has shown steady progress in professional motor racing, where he moved after his career in MotoGP ended.

Rossi’s crew already has a top-five finish to its credit, but there’s also a tumble. His position in the GT World Challenge championship doesn’t bother him yet, but it’s not bad for a debutant.
The numbers are generally positive, and he intends to keep going. It might be a question of moving to a more serious championship, such as the FIA GT. He said this in a short interview after the parade in Malmedy.

It’s expected to be a hot weekend at Spa, with the official promoter broadcasting live from qualifying to the finish line.
