The Y-trike R 18/ 3R, made in the style of the BMW 328 roadster of the 30s of the last century, will attract the attention of not only a fan of motorcycles and a connoisseur of automotive history. Even people who are far from the topic are guaranteed to recognize him as a “Bavarian”. The “nostrils” of the radiator grille, plump aluminum wings, wheels with central nuts, silver-blue coloring — all this takes us back to the era when cars were made of iron, and the driver was one-on-one with the car.
In fact, this is a harmonious mix of the modern “stuffing” of the BMW R18 and design elements of the legendary BMW 328 roadster. The two-lever front suspension and the subframe on which it is mounted were designed and manufactured in the ShifCustom studio in such a way that the trike could not only move impressively in a straight line but also drive cheerfully in turns.
Both the nose cone with recognizable “nostrils” and “blinds” and the wings are made of aluminum. Harley-Davidson V-Rod shared the head optics with the trike, while the headlight housings were designed and manufactured from scratch. A solid rear wheel would fit the “Fat Boy”, but here it is clearly in its place.
The trike is equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled audio system, which is controlled by a remote control mounted on the steering wheel. The sound source itself — a smartphone — can be placed in a stylish leather pocket on the fuel tank, equipped with wireless charging.
