Toyota unveils low-cost family car for $14,000

The Toyota Sienta has been unveiled in Japan. The compact minivan has already gone on sale at home at a price of 1.95 to 3.1 million yen ($14,000 – $22,600). This is reported by the official website of the Japanese brand.

The new Toyota Sienta is the successor to the familiar Yaris Verso minivan. The model uses the platform and units of the Toyota Yaris hatchback but is noticeably larger.

Wheelbase – 2700 mm

The minivan design is dominated by flowing inflated forms. The rear doors are made sliding. The sides are covered with wide plastic moldings. Headlights and lights are LED already in the basic version.

In the cabin, the steering wheel and some switches are familiar from the Toyota Yaris 2022. In the top version, the minivan received a digital dashboard and a large 10.2-inch touchscreen display. Already in the basic version, the car is a seven-seater.

Toyota Sienta 2023 is offered with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine rated at 125 hp and a 116-horsepower hybrid. All Toyota Sienta 2023 are equipped with a Variator, and the hybrid has an all-wheel drive for an extra charge.
