A 1993 Toyota Corolla with record mileage has been discovered in New Zealand. The car has already covered over 2 million kilometers and continues to drive. This is reported by the NZ Herald.

Such a high mileage of Toyota is explained by the work of its owner – New Zealander Graham Hebley delivers newspapers daily. He decided to buy a Toyota Corolla back in 2000 and opted for a 1993 station wagon imported from Japan. At the time of purchase, the car had traveled about 80,000 km.

The car was used very actively – Graham Hebley drives it an average of 5000 km per week. And once every two weeks (every 10,000 km), he visits the service station for a scheduled check and oil change with filters.

It is regular maintenance that the New Zealander considers the key to the durability of Toyota. Surprisingly, the car still has a native engine and gearbox. They were overhauled but never changed. At the same time, the timing belt on the Toyota Corolla was changed more than 20 times, and new hub bearings had to be installed.

The Toyota Corolla station wagon is in good condition, despite the huge mileage. He continues to drive and does not present unpleasant surprises to the owner.
