The new 100% electric Porsche is one of the most anticipated models, as it represents a radical transformation of the Porsche Macan, one of the best—selling crossovers in Europe. Its presentation was previously scheduled for the end of the year, but now the brand names are the reason for the significant delay.
The updated Porsche Macan model will have to wait several months longer than originally planned. The German company cannot begin production of this electric car, the prototypes of which were first noticed in spy photos. In just a few days, it will be exactly one year since the first spy photos appeared on the Web. Under normal conditions, Porsche planned to introduce the Macan by the end of 2022 and start deliveries in mid-2023.

But not all plans are 100% fulfilled. Porsche had problems with one of the suppliers of the control software for the new electric model, which forced it to make new adjustments. The exact cause is unknown. The car manufacturer decided to postpone the release of the new product to the market, setting a goal to prepare a new model by the second half of 2023.
“The new Macan is based on the new PPE premium electric vehicle platform. This architecture is very different from the J1 Taycan, with which it barely shares an 800V electrical charging network. The rest is completely new, so the occurrence of problems at this stage of development is considered normal.”
