Production of the new Renault Oroch 2022 has started in Brazil. The pickup truck has been facelifted and goes on sale at a price of $22,500 to $25,000. This is reported by the official Renault website.
The car changed its name – the word “Duster” disappeared from it. However, this did not change the essence of the model – it is still a Duster in the back of a pickup truck. Oroch has been released in 2015, and it is based on the first-generation crossover.
Although the Renault Duster of the second generation has been in production since 2018, the new Oroch pickup was never released but decided to update the existing one. The 2022 model is recognized by the modified bumpers, optics, and radiator grille. The top version has 16-inch alloy wheels, and the off-road plastic body kit has become more massive.
The Renault Oroch interior has undergone more radical changes. The Duster pickup received a completely new front panel and instrument panel from the old Renault Captur. In more expensive variants, an 8.0-inch touchscreen display of the multimedia system has been added. All Oroch now has an ESP stabilization system.
The base remains a 1.6-liter atmospheric gasoline “four” with a capacity of 117 hp. But the 2.0-liter engine was replaced by 1.3-liter turbo engines for 154 and 170 hp. They are available with a Variator, and a more powerful option is an all-wheel drive. The load capacity of all versions of the pickup truck is 680 kg.
