The new electric crossover KIA EV9 passes the latest tests at the Nurburgring 1

The new electric crossover of the South Korean brand has just appeared at the Nurburgring racetrack. The new KIA K9, which will be presented before the end of the year, is testing its dynamic capabilities on the German highway.

The new KIA EV9 takes a giant step forward in its development. The technical specialists of the South Korean brand have returned to the Nurburgring track. This is one of the last stages of preparing the model for the European market. The dynamic limits of the electric car, which will enter the market in 2023, are being tested.

In the new spy photos, the KIA EV9 prototype was shown with vinyl covering the entire body. Some details are visible on it, such as headlights, with a thin strip of light that passes under the closing panel, and the upper grille.

The KIA EV9 retains the advanced proportions and angular design of the concept presented at the last Los Angeles Auto Show and is about to become one of the first seven-seat electric crossovers. Spy photos also allow you to look into the salon. There is a large screen occupying the dashboard and extending from the dashboard to the center console, which will be the touch screen for the multimedia system.

“The second KIA electric car is based on the same platform as the KIA EV6. The E-GMP architecture supports this model, which will become one of the most popular on the market. The mechanical base of the novelty will allow the use of advanced equipment, such as wireless OTA updates or complex autonomous driving called AutoMode.”

The new Kia EV9 will receive various versions equipped with one and two powerful electric motors. The manufacturer also installed a powerful battery between the axles, which will provide up to 77.4 kWh of useful capacity and maximum autonomy, which will reach 540 km of mileage. It will charge up to 80% in just 15 minutes thanks to 800V charging technology.
