The concept of this Chinese SUV Jetour T-1 was presented back in January of this year. The commercial Jetour T-1 from Chery will appear in Chinese car dealerships in the third quarter of 2023.
At the Chengdu Auto Show, a new Jetour T-1 frame SUV was shown, which attracted the attention of the public with a “hardcore” design with wide wheel arches, chopped shapes, high ground clearance, and “toothy” tires.

The car received retractable door handles and a special platform for drones on the roof. This SUV is very similar to the concept presented in January. So we won’t be surprised if the Jetour T-1 gets a more traditional appearance closer to the market debut.
The automaker did not demonstrate the interior of the car. We can judge the interior of the new SUV from an earlier sketch. This sketch depicted a large “floating” screen of the center console, a hexagonal steering wheel, and large air deflectors.

Chinese media write that the length of the 5-seater SUV reaches a mark of 4.8 meters. The 7-seater T-1 will be even longer – 4.95 meters. In the market, the new Chinese SUV will have to compete with Ford Bronco, Tank 300, Land Rover Defender, etc.
“The novelty is built on the Kungpeng platform from Chery. This means that the SUV has access to a variety of transmissions: Internal combustion engine, rechargeable, traditional or sequential hybrid, as well as an electric car and hydrogen car. And the car will also have an intelligent all-wheel drive system and adaptive suspension.”

Jetour plans to create a whole family of off-road vehicles. The T-1 will be joined by T-2 and T-3 vehicles.
