
A new Toyota Crown of the sixteenth generation has been presented in Japan. The model has changed radically and is returning to the global market – its sales in the USA and Europe will start at the end of the year. This is reported by the official Toyota website.

Toyota Crown has been turned into a non-standard crossover sedan. The car has increased ground clearance and a plastic off-road body kit has appeared. The wide radiator grille is combined with narrow LED headlights. The arched roof and the high curved window line make the profile more rapid.

The Toyota Crown crossover is related to the Camry — it is built on the same TNGA-K platform. The model will replace the Toyota Avalon sedan and is comparable to it in size.

In the cabin, two 12.3-inch screens are installed on the front panel — a virtual instrument panel and a multimedia touch display. Already in the basic version, the new Toyota Crown received electric drive and heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Wi-Fi, light sensor, wireless charging for smartphones, and adaptive cruise control.

Characteristics of Toyota Crown 2023
The Toyota Crown crossover will be available exclusively in hybrid versions and only with an all-wheel drive. The initial version received a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor with a total capacity of 218 hp. It consumes 6.2 liters / 100 km in a mixed cycle.
The top version has a 2.4-liter turbocharged and two electric motors, and their total output is 345 hp. The average fuel consumption is 8.4 liters / 100 km.
