Tuning studio Manhart, known for its projects based mainly on German models, has announced a comprehensive revision for the new British SUV. Following the tuning of the Range Rover, the company has prepared details for the Land Rover Defender, which will receive a modified appearance and a more powerful engine. So far, the entire set of improvements exists only in the form of computer renderings, but soon they promise to show a real car from Manhart.
Judging by the images presented, the DP 450 project will be distinguished by the traditional black bodywork with gold accents of the German company. The car will be equipped with new wheels with Beadlock and off-road tires.
Customers will be offered two options for updating Defender. The basic one implies minimal interference with the design, and the more radical one turns the SUV into an almost expedition car.
An additional trunk and an LED “chandelier” appear on the roof of such a car, as well as power bumpers and a winch in the front bumper.
The technical improvements of Land Rover have not yet been reported in detail, but Manhart promised that they would increase the power of the Defender P300 with a 300-horsepower 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine to 450 horsepower, which is reflected in the project index. It is expected that the finished Land Rover Defender from German tuners will be presented before the end of 2022.
