
The Land Rover Defender 2022 line was supplemented by an elongated family version of the 130. The family SUV is already available for order in Europe, America, and Australia at a price of 68 thousand dollars. This is reported by the official website of Land Rover.

The new Land Rover Defender 130 looks almost no different from a standard five-door SUV, only larger. The car was lengthened by 340 mm at once – up to 5358 mm. It is noteworthy that the wheelbase remained unchanged (3022), that is, only the rear overhang of the Defender 130 was increased. This is the largest Land Rover in history.

The increased dimensions made it possible to make the car eight-seater – also for the first time in the history of the brand. All three rows of seats will be comfortable for adult passengers. The trunk volume increased to 389 liters in normal condition, 1232 liters in the five-seat configuration of the cabin, and 2291 liters in the double.

Land Rover Defender 130 is positioned as the flagship expensive version of the model, so its equipment has been expanded. The SUV received a virtual dashboard and an enlarged 10.25-inch touchscreen display. All seats were heated, and among the options, there was a four-zone climate control with an air ionization function. You can also choose the interior trim with expensive leather and wood.

From the start, only 3.0-liter turbocharged sixes will be offered to decide from – gasoline engines with a capacity of 300 and 400 hp, as well as a 300-horsepower diesel. Later, a top-end version with a 5.0-liter V8 with 525 hp and a 400-horsepower rechargeable hybrid should appear. All Land Rover Defender 130 received an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Also, mandatory is four-wheel drive with downshifting, off-road cruise control, and a set of driving modes for different types of road surfaces. Among the options, there is an air suspension with a variable (218-292 mm) clearance, which allows forcing fords up to 90 cm deep. That is, the car has retained excellent off-road abilities.
