The third-generation Hyundai i20 appeared in early 2020 and was supposed to make its debut to the European public at the Geneva Motor Show. However, the coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of the event. The South Korean crossover was shown online. But it’s already time to develop an important update.
The new Hyundai i20 of 2024 was photographed for the first time. The photo confirms that the manufacturer is working on updating its popular utility. The photo clearly shows the rear of the car with Hyundai’s branded camouflage. Despite the work on the “facelift”, the brand covers almost the entire exterior with a film.
“Most of the changes are concentrated in the front. Optical groups and bumpers will receive updates. Customization options will expand by including new body colors and wheel designs.”
As for the mechanical department, we should not expect a big revolution. If everything goes according to plan, the new i20 model range will retain the same composition of the offer. That is, it will still be available along with a selection of gasoline engines. Most of the engines will be equipped with 48-volt light hybrid technology. Taking into account that this is the first observation and that it occurred on the territory of South Korea, there is still a long period of development ahead. It is possible that the crossover will debut in the second half of 2023. It will be delivered to dealerships as a 2024 model.
