The new Maserati GranTurismo of the third generation has been officially presented. The coupe will go on sale, and for the first time along with gasoline versions and an electric car – the first in the history of the brand. This is reported by the official website of the Stellantis concern.

The design of the Maserati GranTurismo has already been declassified. The coupe looks familiar and has not changed too much externally, although the body lines have become more elegant. The car has a long hood, and the interior is pushed back. The branded “mouth” of the radiator grille has also been preserved.

The interior of the Maserati GranTurismo was not shown, but its details were revealed. The coupe will receive a compact steering wheel and a virtual instrument panel, as well as two touch-screen displays.

Petrol versions are equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 Maserati MC20. Its power is 490 hp in the basic version of the Modena and 550 hp in the Trofeo version. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 3.9 and 3.5 seconds, respectively, and the maximum speed is limited to 302 km/h.

The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore electric car is heavier (2260 kg versus 1795 kg in the 3.0-liter version), but also much more powerful – its three engines produce 751 hp. It is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and develop 320 km/ h – this is the fastest Maserati. The 92.5 kWh rechargeable battery will allow you to drive over 500 km without recharging.

The new Maserati GranTurismo Folgore will be much more expensive. Its price will exceed 200 thousand dollars, while the gasoline versions will cost about $150,000. Sales will start in 2023, and later the line will be expanded by a convertible.
