The new Lexus LBX was supposed to be presented this year, but then the presentation was postponed until May-June 2023. Obviously, the reason was the shortage of microchips and other automotive components.
The model is based on the Toyota Yaris Cross and is being prepared specifically for the European market. Judging by renderings, the Lexus crossover will differ from its colleague with a huge spindle-shaped grille and slanted headlights.
As well as the Toyota Yaris Cross, the Lexus LBX 2023 will be built on the TNGA-B platform and its length will be about 4.2 meters. That is, it will be about 20 cm shorter than the Lexus UX, which is now the most compact model of the brand.
It is expected that the new Lexus LBX will be equipped with a 1.5-liter 120-horsepower petrol engine and a hybrid unit with 116 hp. It will be possible to buy a Lexus crossover for about 25 thousand euros.
