Automaker BAIC decided to conquer a niche with tiny models of electric cars. One of them was a budget hatchback called Wuling Minaev. In 2021, it was sold in the amount of 426 thousand cars. In addition, last winter the brand demonstrated a pre-production 3-door microcar BMW S3. At the same time, the brand decided to release both of them at the same time.
The starting model turned out to be the BAW Change Mini EV hatchback, named after the Moon goddess Change. In terms of its capabilities, it is similar to the Wuling brand microcar. Its body length is 2998 mm, width is 1498 mm, and height is 1585 mm. There are 2,050 mm between the two rows of wheels. Models rely on small 13-inch wheels.

Also, a foreign car BAW Yuanbao with improved technical capabilities will go on sale. This novelty has LED optics. Due to the new bumper group, the body length increased to 3162 mm. The interior has a panel with two 10.25-inch displays. The infotainment complex has access to the Network and distributes Wi-Fi. There are cameras with 360-degree visibility, a parking assistant, and a leather-covered interior with a bright design.
Yuanbao’s electric unit produces 27 “horses” and 85 Nm. In addition to a 9.9 kWh battery, a 13.6 kWh analog is available. On one charge, the model is able to travel 120 and 170 km with different batteries. The maximum speed is 100 km / h. BAW Yuanbao is available in China from 5,100 to 7,500 dollars.
The assembly process of these electric vehicles has already begun at the Chinese factory. Also, the line of motors in the near future will include a pickup truck, a large minivan, and an electric van.
