The new BYD Tang was officially presented in Europe. This is a 100% electric crossover with a seven-seat cabin. BYD intends to revolutionize the European electric vehicle market, and this new model is designed to play a leading role. It has 400 kilometers of autonomy, all-wheel drive, and a lot of equipment.

At the Paris Motor Show in 2022, BYD demonstrated to the world community the BYD Tang electric car, which will become a key model in Europe. In the head part of the novelty, there is a giant grille, which is directly connected to some sharp optical groups on LEDs.

A chrome element runs along the top of the grille. Thanks to the design of the headlights, an interesting continuity effect is created. It is worth noting the shape of the bumper with designated air intake. The side view shows typical elements of an off-road model. Plastic bumpers protect the bottom, and roof racks add a spirit of adventure.

“In the rear of the body, the lights are positioned horizontally. They are thin and physically connected by a strip of light, which helps to emphasize the feeling of width. The options for individualizing the exterior are limited, there are only a few body colors to choose from silver-black, mountain-gray, snow-white, blue, and red.”

The “heart” of the new Tang is an 86.4 kWh LFP battery with Blade technology. The main purpose of the battery is to power two motors, one on each axis. Thus, this BYD SUV boasts the presence of all-wheel drive.

The total power of the electric drive system reaches 517 hp and 680 Nm of maximum torque. It is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 180 km/h. The autonomy reaches 400 km. The average consumption of 23.8 kWh per 100 km is stated.
