New details of the future Hyundai Ioniq 6 have emerged. A stylish electric sedan should be presented this spring, and sales will start from 2023. This is reported by the Korean website The Korean Car Blog.
The new Hyundai Ioniq 6 is a production version of the 2020 Prophecy concept car, and judging by the spy photos, the differences from the prototype will be minimal. A sports sedan with a bright streamlined design will become a competitor to the Tesla Model 3.
The first characteristics of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 have also become known. In size, it is slightly larger than Tesla and comparable to the gasoline analog of the Hyundai Sonata.
Dimensions of Hyundai Ioniq 6:
Length — 4855 mm
Width — 1880 mm
Height — 1495 mm
Wheelbase — 2950 mm
The sedan is built on the modular E-GMP platform, like all new Hyundai and Kia electric vehicles. Its top-end version will receive two motors with a total capacity of 308 hp, like the top-end Hyundai Ioniq 5, and a battery with a capacity of 77.4 kWh. The power reserve will be up to 515 km, and it will be possible to recharge 80% in a fast mode in about 20 minutes.
