Tesla unveiled a new version of the Cybertruck pickup at the opening Gigafactory Texas 1

Today in the U.S. state of Texas there was a grand opening of the new factory of the company Tesla, which was named Gigafactory Texas. On the eve of the event, referred to as the Cyber Rodeo, two Cybertrucks were spotted at the facility, as well as a battery-powered Semi tractor. Previously, Elon Musk had never brought two electric pickups to the same place at the same time. That’s why experts expected to see something significant as part of the opening. And they weren’t wrong.

Before the start of the Cyber Rodeo, the territory of the new car plant was flown around by a drone, which managed to capture on video at once two electric Cybertruck pickups, a battery-powered Semi tractor, and several unknown prototypes covered with protective covers. Before that day, Elon Musk had never brought two pickups to the same location. Because of this, many experts expected some sort of global premiere during the inaugural event.

Expectations have been fully met. In the course of the “Cyber Rodeo,” the company introduced a new version of the Cybertruck. This prototype received side mirrors, a windshield wiper, different headlights, modified taillights, and new wheels. In addition, the electric pickup lost its door handles. The developers added technology that will allow the electric car to identify the owner and open the doors in front of him. At the end of the speech, Elon Musk promised to start production of the Cybertruck in 2023.

At the end of March, the head of Tesla stated that the company plans to complete the development of the production version of the Cybertruck by the end of this year. However, at that time Elon Musk did not disclose any technical details of the serial version of the model.
