Tesla decided to fight the unprecedented heat in Europe in an original way and installed a compact pool made of a steel cargo container next to the charging terminals. The first appeared in the city of Hilden. One of the largest Tesla Supercharger stations in Germany is located here — it is designed for 40 electric cars, and there is a bakery and a cafe on its territory. You can use such a pool for no longer than 10 minutes.
The Tesla Supercharger station in Hilden includes 40 terminals: eight 150-kilowatt and 32 with a capacity of 250 kilowatts. This is one of the largest charging stations in Germany, so it is probably often possible to find empty seats here. However, now the owners of electric cars will have another reason to stop by the Hilden pool. It was made from a steel cargo container and installed next to the charging terminals.
The pool can be used by four people at the same time — but no longer than ten minutes. Theoretically, this should be enough to refresh yourself. After all, you still need to dry off, and by this time the charging will just end. Pool opening hours are from 14:00 to 19:00.
The station is also equipped with solar panels and was one of the first to accept electric vehicles from other manufacturers. In addition, there is a bakery and a cafe on its territory.
The company also has a more ambitious project. In Hollywood, Tesla is going to build the first station combining a cinema, a restaurant, a bar, and charging terminals themselves. It will be able to charge 34 cars at the same time. The restaurant, capable of serving 218 people at the same time, will work around the clock, and the cinema — from seven in the morning to 11 at night.
