Subaru has introduced an upgraded Legacy sedan for the North American market, which underwent an interim facelift before the generation change. The model has received both external and technical improvements.
The car can be distinguished from its predecessor thanks to the modified front part of the body with an enlarged radiator grille, under which another more aggressive bumper is located.
As for the technical part, the updated Subaru Legacy has received the latest version of the EyeSight proprietary security system with a new wide-angle camera that allows electronics to better recognize other objects on the road, including pedestrians and cyclists while driving at intersections.
The base engine remained the same. Subaru Legacy is equipped with a 2.5-liter atmospheric opposed engine, developing 185 hp and 238 Nm of torque. The unit operates together with a Variator and a four-wheel-drive system.
At the same time, the Sport version was equipped with a 2.4-liter “turbocharger”, producing 263 forces and 375-newton meters. Such a car also differs from other variants by a suspension with sports settings, aerodynamic body elements, 18-inch alloy wheels, and other external details.
In the US, sales of the updated Subaru Legacy will begin within the next few months. Prices for cars will be announced later.
