CarNewsChina got a video shot on the streets of China: there is a new off-road Dongfeng Warrior M20 in the frame. This model is based on the civilian Warrior M50 pickup, which also has a military version. At some point, Dongfeng marked the civilian versions of military vehicles in a separate brand M-Hero, also known as Mengshi in PRC, and now is preparing to expand the model range.
Warrior M20 is a full-size off-road vehicle in military style, with deliberately rugged features, off-road tires, dual-level headlights, a winch in the front, and a spare wheel on the fifth door. Exact dimensions are not given, but the video shows that the SUV has impressive ground clearance.
CarNewsChina supposes that the width of the SUV will reach 2.16 meters – in this parameter, it is only slightly inferior to Hummer H1. The length of the car, presumably, will be 5.5 meters. As for the power unit, there’s still nothing but speculation: probably the Warrior M20 will be powered by a 6.7-liter diesel engine.
The approximate price of the model – is 300-400 thousand yuan.
There is another Warrior in Dongfeng’s arsenal, the electric one. This is a pickup truck with an index M18 and a unit with a peak output of 1070 horsepower. Battery capacity is 140 kilowatt-hours, and the claimed range is 500 kilometers. From a seat to 100 kilometers per hour, the Warrior M18 accelerates in less than five seconds.
