Lexus has announced the launch of sales of the updated compact crossover UX. For local buyers, the luxury “parquet” is offered in two versions – UX200 and UX250h. The reform model debuted this spring, but it has become available in its native Japanese market only now.
With the restyling, the UX received a tougher body, which improved its handling and also got redesigned shock absorbers and an electric power steering. The list of equipment of the model has been replenished with an advanced proprietary security complex, including a mono camera and a radar with a wide range of action.
In addition, the new UX was taught to stop on the side of the road independently and call emergency services in the event that the driver suddenly became ill or could not drive the car correctly.
An upgraded infotainment system with an updated interface has appeared in the car interior. The diagonal of the display can be either 8 or 12.3 inches.
All Japanese versions of the Lexus UX are offered as versions with a 2-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 168 hp, a bundle of which is a Variator and front-wheel drive, and in a hybrid modification (250hp) with an electric motor, Variator, nickel-metal hydride battery (181 hp). The drive can be either front or full.
Prices for the reformed Lexus UX in Japan will start at 4 million yen. For the most expensive performance of the crossover, 5 million 533 thousand yen are asked.
