The British brand will present a “charged” Range Rover Sport SVR SUV of the next generation around the end of this year. Among other things, the novelty boasts a capacity of more than 600 horsepower.
The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport officially debuted in May this year, offering a plug-in hybrid powertrain and a twin-turbo V8 from BMW. Prices in the United States for the novelty start at $84,350 for the version of the model with a 3.0-liter turbocharged hybrid engine and reach $122,850 for the P530 First Edition version with a 523 horsepower V8 engine and 750 Nm of torque. An even more powerful version of the model is currently in development, and it will have the SVR suffix. Her debut will take place before the end of the year.
“We have seen how Land Rover is testing the Range Rover Sport SVR on public roads and on the Nurburgring highway, and we know that the development of the model is now in one of the last stages.”
This is probably the best moment to share unofficial renderings demonstrating the design of a powerful SUV provided by colleagues from the “Wheel.ru”. Although these are purely artistic images based on the “spy” photos of the novelty that we have, we believe that these renderings draw a very accurate picture of what the new Range Rover Sport SVR will be.
As far as we know, the new Range Rover Sport SVR will be built on the Land Rover MLA-Flex platform, like the regular Range Rover Sport, and will receive a 4.4-liter V8 engine with dual turbocharging from BMW X5 M. In the latter, the motor produces 615 hp of power and 750 Nm of torque. All-wheel drive and a fast automatic transmission can be considered standard options in a car of this segment. You can expect acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.0 seconds, as well as a maximum speed of about 290 km/h.
At the moment, little is known about the novelty, although it is safe to say that Land Rover will add more sporty seats to the interior, various embroidery with the SVR badge, and exclusive upholstery options.
