A few weeks ago it became known that the production of the new INEOS Grenadier is delayed due to a number of problems with the supply of parts and components. Now the brand has already solved this situation and the first copies of the SUV have begun to come out.

The new INEOS Grenadier has already been put on the conveyor. Having solved the problems with the supply of parts and components, the French factory in Hambach returned to work. The first units of the new British SUV rolled off its conveyors.

The French factory in Hambach, the former Daimler factory where smart models were produced, has come back to life after updating production to adapt the assembly chains to the new model. The first copy of the new INEOS Grenadier has an owner, and he is not just anyone, but the founder of the brand: Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

“Brand representatives explained that during the production shutdown, the company was looking for solutions to other problems related to the control software on board the new SUV for the flawless functioning of all systems.”

Production capacity will gradually increase, focusing on December 2022, when full productivity will be achieved. The goal is to produce as many copies of the new model as possible in order to deliver 15,000 cars booked before the usual commercial launch, which took place just a few days ago. These 15,000 units are designed to meet the commitments made to customers. After that, the brand will gradually increase production to 50,000 assembled SUVs per year.
