Volkswagen is preparing to produce its debut electrified ID.7 sedan in its model line. The electric car was presented as a conceptual model at the CES-2023 motor show in Las Vegas.
The presented novelty has stylistic features of other models of this family. The model in the sedan body was equipped with 20-inch wheels. When this car goes into mass production, it will have versions with smaller wheels.
“The sedan will get a rethought interior. The motorist will be able to use a small electronic instrument panel and a 15-inch multimedia complex paired with a projection display. An adaptive climate control system is included in the list of features.”
Sedan ID.7 was built on the MEB architecture. The starting version will be a variant with a rear-mounted unit and rear-wheel drive. The maximum versions acquired two electric motors and an all-wheel drive system. The appearance of a GTX sports modification is also expected. When fully charged, the sedan will be able to drive about 700 kilometers in one go.
The debut show of the serial version of VW ID.7 is scheduled for the second quarter of this year. Mass production will be organized at Chinese and German car factories. European, Chinese and American dealers of the concern will receive such a model.
