At the beginning of May in China, the sales of the electric sedan BMW 3-Series started, and after a week there are photos of updated “three” with an internal combustion engine on the Network. The model has acquired new bumpers, faceted “nostrils” of the grille, which have only slightly increased in size, and L-shaped running lights. Publication Autohome.com.cn, which published the photos, specifies that they show the car with M-body.
In the photos, you can see a new bumper design with vertical “fangs” on the sides, an extended radiator grille with a three-dimensional honeycomb pattern, and upgraded optics with reversed brackets of daytime running lights.
There are no pictures of the interior yet, although that’s where the main changes are expected to happen. With a restyling the 3-Series may get a new iDrive 8 interface with a single touch-screen panel that combines a digital “dashboard” and multimedia system display. This configuration first debuted on the electric iX and i4.

There is also no information about changes in the engine range, although we do not have long to wait – the premiere of the updated “3” will take place within the next few months.
As for the electric sedan 3-Series, it turned out to be slightly more expensive than the gasoline version 320Li: prices start from 349.9 thousand yuan, while 320Li with M-package costs at least 318.9 thousand yuan. The electric car is powered by a 286-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle, which is powered by a 66.1-kilowatt-hour battery. The model is assembled at the BMW-Brilliance joint venture in China, and there is no word yet on its appearance outside the country.
