P2 Speeder: a real flying motorcycle

P2 Speeder: a real flying motorcycle 1

Mayman Aerospace, a subsidiary of JetPack Aviation, well known for its crazy ideas, presented a prototype of the P2 Speeder flying motorcycle. The most important thing is that it is not a 3D picture or a paper-mache model – the prototype Speeder with vertical takeoff and landing knows how to fly!

The P2 Speeder is a motorcycle-sized flying machine with eight jets (!) engines and a patented onboard control system that monitors all power units and can rebalance the power of the engines if one of them has a problem.

The P2 Speeder prototype is manned, but Mayman Aerospace plans to produce these aircraft designed for remote-controlled and even fully autonomous operation. Tests of the vehicle in remote control mode will begin shortly, with pilot-controlled testing closer to the end of the year.

Mayman Aerospace is now in the process of obtaining a license for the Speeder from the FAA, as well as negotiating with potential customers.
