Unity Technologies, one of the leaders in the field of 3D platforms and augmented reality technologies, has developed a new operating system for Mercedes-Benz, which will appear on all models of the brand with the transition to the 2024 model year. “With the introduction of the new operating system, we intend to achieve several goals,” explained Magnus Ostberg, who oversees the project from Mercedes-Benz. “Firstly, we will create a user interface that corresponds to the level of our premium cars, and secondly, we will create a two–way communication with the customer.”

As for MBUX, the current, second generation of the system was introduced in 2020. Then, for the first time, machine learning technology was used. With the change of generation, the management of the multimedia complex was made more intuitive, the ability to save personal profiles was introduced, and a trend was set to abandon the abundance of physical buttons and switches.
