Mercedes-Benz has finally declassified the new +Mercedes-AMG C 63 S 4Matic+Mercedes-AMG C 63 S 4Matic+. The model lost the V8 turbo engine but instead received a hybrid power plant with a capacity of 680 horsepower and 1020 Nm of torque. From zero to “hundreds” C 63 S 4Matic+ accelerates in 3.4 seconds, the “maximum speed” is 280 kilometers per hour. The equipment of the car includes electronically controlled shock absorbers, a steering rear axle, variable-ratio steering, and composite brakes.
Mercedes-AMG C63 S 4Matic+ is longer and wider than the usual C-Class. Both there and there are a few centimeters, but because of them, the proportions of the car should be perceived somewhat differently. The wheels are 19-inch (20 inches is optional), with mismatched tires. A ventilation slot is made on the hood, and two electronically controlled air dampers are sheltered behind the radiator grille and bumper mesh. The E Performance nameplate is an unambiguous hint at a hybrid power plant.

A separate electric motor is mounted on the rear axle. It is combined into a unit with a two-stage distributor and an electronically controlled high-friction differential. Power — 204 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque.
The battery with a capacity of 6.1 kilowatt-hours operates under a voltage of 400 volts. It consists of 560 cells immersed in a non-conductive liquid and within 10 seconds can produce 150 kilowatts of power at a constant 70. Technology, as in Formula 1, but adjusted for mass production.
In total, the internal combustion engine and the electric motor produce 680 horsepower and 1020 Nm of torque. From zero to a hundred C 63 S 4Matic+ accelerates in 3.4 seconds, and its maximum speed with the AMG Driver’s Package is 280 kilometers per hour (270 km / h for a station wagon).
The energy flow management strategy has been adjusted so that the owner always has a supply of electricity for sudden accelerations. At the same time, thanks to the four-level recovery (up to 100 kW), the charge is replenished very quickly.
The C 63 S 4Matic+ power plant can operate in eight modes. The Electric program involves driving on electric traction until the battery is completely exhausted, after which the car will start the internal combustion engine and automatically switch to the Comfort preset. This is the most optimal profile, in which only 25 percent of the power of the electric motor is available.
In Sport and Sport+, the return of the hybrid surplus increases to 60 and 80 percent, respectively. Well, what is 100 percent possible to experience only on a closed track by activating Race mode.
There are also Battery Hold profiles to preserve the charge of the traction battery, Slippery for slippery roads, and Individual, in which you can customize the engine, transmission, suspension, and volume of the exhaust system.
In addition, the C 63 S 4Matic+ will receive variable-ratio steering and a fully controllable chassis. Depending on the situation, the rear wheels of the car will be able to turn at an angle of up to 2.5 degrees, increasing maneuverability and stability.
Also, the sports car will get an AMG Dynamics switch with several profiles that change the algorithms of EPS, all-wheel drive and differential, and composite brakes with six-piston calipers in front and single-piston rear.
The interior of the novelty will be decorated with an AMG steering wheel with buttons for selecting driving modes and recovery levels and an MBUX media system, supplemented with an AMG Track Pace recorder and tabs specific to the hybrid drive.
Standard seats, if desired, can be replaced with second-generation AMG Performance “buckets”. For finishing, “Nappa” leather and “Matt chrome” decorative overlays are used.
According to preliminary information, in the USA the new C 63 S 4Matic+ will cost 85 thousand dollars, five thousand more expensive than the BMW M3 Competition (510 hp, 650 Nm).
