New Ford Explorer 2023 officially unveiled: what’s changed in the crossover

Ford Explorer 2023 has been presented in China. The largest crossover Ford has undergone a planned facelift and will go on sale from the end of August. It is reported on the official website of Ford.

The place for the debut of the updated model was not chosen in vain. Explorer is produced not only in the U.S. but also in China at a joint venture Changan-Ford.

The new Ford Explorer is recognized primarily by the modified front end: the grille became larger, and now the headlights are oblong. The bumpers are also changed, and new L-shaped headlights draw attention to the back.

The sports version ST-Line looks more expressive thanks to a different grille pattern and larger air intakes. The dimensions of the crossover have changed slightly after the modification.

Ford Explorer interior is made in the style of the new generation Mondeo. The front panel was completely replaced, and a wide 27-inch multimedia display is installed on it. Also, the crossover has new climate control switches and more comfortable front seats. Projection on the windshield and facial recognition is added to the list of options.

Engines of the Ford Explorer 2023 remained the same. The model can be offered with a 2.3-liter gasoline turbo engine (276 and 300 hp) and 3.0-liter (365 and 400 hp), as well as a 444-horsepower hybrid. All versions received a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the drive can be rear or all-wheel drive.
