
BMW shared the latest information about its flagship crossover. Initially, it was planned to be called BMW X8, but now it has become known that the model was renamed XM, the press service of the German company reported.
Last year’s concept model was named in the same way. The BMW XM production crossover was shown in camouflage, but judging by the photo, it looks like it will largely repeat the prototype. It has a long hood, extended wings, and a huge radiator grille. For cars, wheels with a diameter of up to 23 inches will be offered.

Two large curved instrument panel displays and multimedia will be installed in the cabin. Leather and carbon fiber will be used in the decoration.
The new BMW XM 2023 will be offered exclusively as a plug-in hybrid with a 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 petrol and an electric motor. At first, a 650 hp version will appear. with. and 800 Nm of torque, and later they will add a top-end 750-horsepower option. Both modifications will be able to drive about 80 km in electric mode.
A completely new all-wheel-drive system with an electronic rear differential is being prepared for the crossover. In addition, it will receive an air suspension, and steerable rear wheels and will be the first BMW model with active stabilizers.

The presentation of the BMW XM will take place in the fall. Production of the model will begin in December at the American plant the company, and its sales will start in early 2023 at a price of about $150 thousand. The main competitors of the model will be Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga, and Aston Martin DBX.
