The boss of KTM Factory Racing, Pete Bayer, confirmed that the announcement of the Austrian factory’s team line-ups will take place as part of the home Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring: the last detail remains – who will still take the co-pilot’s seat in Tech3 together with Pol Espargaro.
Pol announced the signing of a contract with KTM before the British Grand Prix, not hiding his joy.
Bayer did not hide the fact that his teams for 2023 are staffed, and all pilots have already signed contracts. He confirmed the rumor that Pol Espargaro will return to Tech3, where he started his MotoGP career with Yamaha, and from where the KTM factory project kidnapped him and his partner, Bradley Smith when he decided to return to the Royal Class.
Pete added that a decision on the candidacy of Espargaro’s partner will be made in the coming days. There are several options, including the possibility of switching to MotoGP of one of the KTM pilots, but it’s definitely not Pedro Acosta. Bayer, for his part, would like to maintain a relationship with Remy Gardner, so it is likely that the Australian will remain in MotoGP for at least another year.
