Moto2: Pedro Acosta to receive the verdict of doctors on participation in the British Grand Prix on Wednesday 1

According to Spanish insiders, the participation of the Moto3 champion and the pilot of the official Red Bull KTM Ajo team in Moto2 Pedro Acosta at the British Grand Prix has not yet been confirmed: the response from the doctors will be on Tuesday or Wednesday evening.

Pedro Acosta suffered a complex fracture of his left hip on June 21 during motocross training, but he underwent surgery in time, which was not too aggressive. Thanks to this, Acosta was discharged a few days later and immediately began rehabilitation. So far, due to injury, he has only missed the Dutch Grand Prix. He was lucky that the Assen race was followed by a 5-week vacation: thus, he had 2 full months to recover.

The operation was performed by Ignacio Gineberda from the clinic of the Dexius Institute in Barcelona, and Pedro will go to him today for a final analysis – can he return to the ranks or not?

Since Acosta is not fighting for the title, his participation in the race at the Silverstone Circuit is not mandatory. The goal of KTM will be the complete recovery of the pilot and the avoidance of undesirable complications since in 2023 Pedro must win the championship title for subsequent promotion to MotoGP.
