Moto2: KTM confirms - Pedro Acosta is flying to the British Grand Prix! 1

The Red Bull KTM Ajo team has confirmed the reunion of its team in the Moto2 Grand Prix World Championship: Pedro Acosta has received the “go-ahead” from doctors to participate in races at the Silverstone Circuit next weekend.

Augusto Fernandez returns from the holidays in an ideal position: he has an equal number of points with the early leader of the Moto2 championship Celestino Vietti from VR46 Racing, they have 146 points each after Assen. In fact, the championship is being restarted from scratch…

But not for Pedro Acosta: skipping the Dutch Grand Prix lowered the young talent’s position to 9th – he loses to his KTM teammate Ajo and Vietti by 71 points.

Acosta broke his left hip in motocross training in June, almost immediately after the German Grand Prix. The operation was done in Barcelona the next day, so Pedro used 5 and a half weeks of vacation to recover.

“We are going to Silverstone with one goal – to return the right feeling from the motorcycle,” Acosta said. – The course of rehabilitation treatment was long, and I put a lot of effort into getting back into service as soon as possible. Now I need to check what physical and mental level I am on. I think I’m doing fine physically, but almost two months of pauses between races can affect the feeling of the motorcycle, which I really found only in June. I need to get my pace back, we will do it gradually.”
