Mercedes-Benz will pay more attention to the development of the Maybach line, and in the near future, two new models will be presented under this nameplate. The first is an electric crossover Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV, the second is a convertible Mercedes-Maybach SL. A teaser of the two-door was recently published by Gorden Wagener, chief designer of Mercedes. You can see the front of the car: branded grille and hood with a pattern of Maybach logos.

Chief designer of Mercedes-Benz Group Gorden Wagener has published on social networks a teaser of the Mercedes-Maybach SL concept. The luxurious cabriolet with a two-tone body and unusual decor will become a part of the brand’s new strategy. According to the plan, the company will direct more than 75 percent of investments to the development of the most expensive and profitable segments – Mercedes calls them Top-End Luxury and Core Luxury.

The SL convertible belongs to Top-End Luxury. The only image shows two-door will get traditional for “Maybachs” grille “in strips”, a hood with a pattern of brand logos and protruding emblem. About the technical filling until we can only guess, although the most suitable option is a V8 4.0 Biturbo engine, which develops 585 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque on the SL 63.

Along with the development of the Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Maybach, and G-Class lines, the new plan calls for particular versions of production models as well as the production of exclusive Mythos Series collector’s cars.

The first approach is illustrated by the luxurious Mercedes-Maybach Haute Voiture, which used faux fur and fancy yarn boucle fabric for the interior. The debut model under the Mythos brand will be a speedster based on the Mercedes-AMG SL.
