Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe will undergo some changes in style. Mercedes engineers apply camouflage on the front, and this material hides a lot. The lower fascia still has a trapezoidal opening in the center. We can see the outlines of the entrance holes in the corners. The shape of the lattice does not seem to have changed at all. Vertical slats are still part of the design.
On the side, the company applies a piece of camouflage to the area where the vents of the front wings are located. The coating may indicate that designers are changing the style of this element.
“Photo spies believe that this machine is at an early stage of development. This is due to the fact that the taillights have not changed, and the tail section is identical to the current model.”
Mercedes has just made minor changes to the AMG GT 4-door coupe lineup for the 2022 model year. The front panel has become more similar to the AMG GT 63 S by adjusting the front panel. Depending on the trim level, the 2022 AMG GT 4-door coupe was available with several new body color options. Spectral Blue Metallic, Spectral Blue Magno, Green Light Magno, and Manufaktur Rubellite Red Metallic joined the color options.
There are no details about any changes to the power units of the updated model yet, and there are no signs of improvements in these photos. Currently, the leader in the line is the plug-in hybrid Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance. It combines a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 and an electric motor that attaches to the rear axle. This unit produces a total of 831 hp and 1400 Nm. The battery with a capacity of 6.1 kilowatt-hours provides 12 km of driving on pure electric power.
Initially, the 4-door coupe AMG GT debuted in 2018, and its public premiere took place at the Paris Motor Show. It went on sale in the 2019 model year.
