Officially: the test that Marc Marquez passed today with his Honda CBR600RR in Aragon confirmed the pilot’s readiness to return to MotoGP. HRC immediately reported this.
Now the official wording sounds like “return to racing”!
Repsol Honda called the comeback a comeback, although Marquez himself had previously said that it would probably be one-time participation in MotoGP in 2022. Marquez planned to return to the Honda RC213V saddle, but not on a permanent basis, but in 1-2 races, including the final in Valencia. Aragon was considered as an option, since it is one of the most successful tracks for Marquez, besides, his “home”.
110 days have passed since Marc Marquez withdrew from the MotoGP championship for the 4th surgery on the right humerus. Mark flew to the USA immediately after the completion of the Italian Grand Prix, on May 29, 2022.
