Bentley, Rolls-Royce, and Lamborghini sold the most cars in their history in 2022. The premium brands were helped to achieve success by expensive off-road models.

Last year turned out to be a very successful year for manufacturers of high-end luxury cars. While many auto giants in 2022 suffered from the automotive chip crisis and reduced production volumes, premium brands are breaking sales records. This is reported by the Carscoops website.

In particular, Bentley managed to sell 15,174 cars – 4% more than a year earlier. The best of sales became the Bentley Bentayga: 42% of all bought cars of the British brand (6373 pcs.) – this model.

The share of the Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur is about the same – a little less than 30%. Most of all Bentley purchased in the U.S. (4,221) and China (4,033).

Rolls-Royce crossed the threshold of 6,000 cars sold for the first time in history. To be more precise, 6,021 cars were sold and most of them are Cullinan off-roaders, although, for example, in Asia demand is also high for the Rolls-Royce Ghost sedan.

The crossover Lamborghini Urus has already become the most popular model in the history of the Italian brand, and it has more than half of the sales. In 2022, 5,367 Urus were sold, and it helped Lamborghini to set the record of 9,233 cars. Supercars were not so actively bought – 3,113 Huracan and 753 Aventador were sold.

Bugatti didn’t need an SUV for its success. The French brand delivered 80 cars in 2022, which is the best result since the revival of the legendary brand in the 90s. Besides, all supercars Bugatti Mistral (99 pcs.) and Bolide (80 pcs.) are already sold out, though their production has not even started yet.
