The KTM 450 SMR Supermoto, designed exclusively for use on the track, has been updated for the 2023 model year. The motorcycle received a lighter engine, weighing only 27 kg, developing maximum power of 63 hp. To centralize the mass, the motor was installed with a slight tilt backward.

The new Keihin engine control system made it possible to realize not only the possibility of choosing the engine operating mode (there are now two) but also to equip the Supermoto with a traction control system and launch control. New technologies, previously available only on the “civilian” 690 SMC-R, are now coming to the world of uncompromising sports motorcycles.

The Pankl Racing Systems five-speed gearbox is paired with a quick shifter, which, if desired, can be easily turned off using the button on the steering wheel. The KTM 450 SMR is equipped with a 48 mm WP AER fork with separate adjustments and a more compact and lightweight WP XACT shock absorber.
The KTM 450 SMR 2023 model year should appear in the salons of KTM dealers in June this year.
