The flagship Kia EV9 electric crossover will appear on the market no earlier than 2023 and will surely become the brand’s bestseller. Photo spies were able to capture a car in camouflage on tests. And we can tell you that in reality, it is as big and angular as the concept.
It will be based on the well-known E-GMP platform, on which almost all Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis electric vehicles are based. The length of the Kia EV9, according to our estimates, will be about 5 meters, width – 2 meters, and height – about 1.8 m, which generally corresponds to the dimensions of the Mercedes-Benz GLE.
Despite the fact that the prototype is literally “packed” in camouflage, some details can still be traced. First, we are talking about an angular body. But the lighting equipment, apparently, will acquire a slightly different shape.
It is safe to say that Koreans strive to create a brutal and off-road look of the future novelty, so they do not hesitate to use retro notes in the exterior. As for the power plant, according to official information, the EV9 will be able to travel about 540 kilometers, and acceleration to 100 km / h will be about 5 seconds. The company is particularly proud of its fast charging system. In just 6 minutes, the car will replenish the amount of energy that should be enough for 100 kilometers of mileage, and in half an hour it is quite realistic to charge an all-terrain vehicle from 10 to 80%. In addition, a sports version of the Kia EV9 GT is also expected.
