Kawasaki unveils its first production kids electric motorcycle Elektrode 1

Only half a year ago at the EICMA show in Milan, Kawasaki Motors president Hiroshi Ito said the company will release three motorcycle models with electric or hybrid propulsion systems by the end of 2022. At the time, such a statement seemed too bold, but… Now Kawasaki has officially announced that it will unveil its first electric-powered production machine on June 7.

The “greens” have not yet begun to swing at full-sized motorcycles – their first mass-produced electric bike will be, judging by the teaser and insider information, a racing bike. A sensible start: while a child will be mastering electric balance bikes, Kawasaki will have time to bring to market, for example, cross-country electric bikes for different ages. On the official website of Kawasaki, you can subscribe to the news on the electric novelty “green” and at the same time read a short video. The name of the first electric bike is already known: the company has patented the model name “Elektrode” in several markets.
