Photos of seven new Jeep concept cars have been published. Off-road vehicles will be presented at the annual Easter Safari, which is held off-road in the American desert Moab. This year it will take place March 9-18, according to the official Jeep website.
Most Jeep concept cars are based on Wrangler and Gladiator models. The Jeep is the first Jeep to be built on the basis of the Wrangler and Gladiator.
All vehicles have been prepared for serious off-roading, and Mopar and Jeep Performance Parts divisions took part in their modifications. It is noteworthy that off-road accessories, which are already freely available, were used. So Jeep owners can recreate these concept cars on their own.
All the cars are equipped with off-road tires and a winch, and their ground clearance has been increased. Some Jeeps also got steel bumpers, underbody protection, and reinforced suspension. Some SUVs have doors removed.
Most of the concepts are based on different versions of Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator. Thus, charged Wrangler with a 6.4-liter 475-horsepower V8 is the basis of Jeep Rubicon’s 20th Anniversary, but the Jeep Performance Parts Birdcage and Jeep ’41 are based on the hybrid Wrangler 4Xe. The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe Hybrid was the basis for the Trailhawk concept.
Jeep Wrangler Magneto is an electric car: its motors develop 625 hp and allow accelerating up to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds. It is interesting that the electric car has kept the 6-speed manual gearbox. It is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 70 kWh, but the range is not disclosed.
