Hyundai Ioniq 6 debuts with a delay of three months 1

Hyundai delayed the premiere of the Ioniq 6 electric sedan for three months, moving it from April to July. It is known that this decision was made due to the fact that the company decided at the last moment to make changes to the design of the car. According to new information received from The Korean Car Blog, the novelty will debut at the Busan Auto Show on July 14. Some details about the model are already available: it is predicted to have a power reserve of 515-550 kilometers (depending on the calculation method) and a twin-engine unit with a capacity of 308 horsepower.

The novelty was shown on several uninformative teasers and on spy photos taken during road tests. It can already be concluded that the exterior design is made in the style of the 2020 Prophecy concept car, and the sedan itself is comparable in size to the Sonata and belongs to the D-class. According to unofficial data, Hyundai Ioniq 6 will receive a battery with a capacity of 77.4 kilowatt-hours (like the Ioniq 5).

The Ioniq 6, unlike the Prophecy, has central pillars, and the rear doors open along the way, and not against, as in the prototype. In addition, the exterior cameras were replaced with standard mirrors, and the design of the bumpers was changed.

The Ioniq 6 will be the second electric car of the same line after the model with the index 5.
