Honda has introduced the Prologue electric crossover. The exterior and interior of the novelty are revealed in the official pictures, the overall dimensions are not a secret. In the USA, the Prologue SUV will occupy a niche between the CR-V and Passport, and the electric car can surpass all Honda fuel cars in terms of space in the cabin. Technical specifications have not yet been published, but it is known that the Honda Prologue has a common filling with models of the General Motors concern.
The electric car has a long base, small overhangs, and a modest glazing area. From the stern, the crossover almost literally repeated the Range Rover Evoque; among the memorable design solutions are two-tone 21-inch wheels with six petals and the Honda inscription in words on the fifth door instead of the logo.
The length/width/height of the Honda Prologue is 4877/1989/1643 millimeters, respectively, and the wheelbase is 3094 millimeters. A similar distance between the axles of the “related” Chevrolet Blazer EV on the Ultium platform. The novelty will definitely have an all-wheel drive modification, and the basic version of the Japanese company’s crossover can be both front- and rear-wheel drive.
In the cabin without revelations: Honda is true to the motto “simplicity and something else”, so the interiors of all new products from the budget XR-V to the three-row CR-V are similar. Important nuances are a freestanding 11-inch digital dashboard screen and a steering wheel switch for driving modes. For the sake of conservative buyers, a whole scattering of analog keys has been preserved, although the diagonal of the touchscreen is solid (11.3 inches).
Sales of the Prologue will begin only in 2024, and the crossover should become Honda’s first mass-produced electric car in the United States. With a slight delay, the Acura electric crossover with a more aggressive design and similar technology will enter the market.
