
Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Gaokin introduced the GK 1000 cruiser in April 2022 to its home market in China. One of the largest players in the Chinese motorcycle market, Chongqing Gaokin Industry Co. produces motorcycles for companies such as Brixton and the Austrian-owned KSR group.
Now, unlike many other small Chinese motorcycle manufacturers, which are not even worth mentioning, Gaokin develops its own unique designs and even its own engines instead of using power plants from more well-known manufacturers. The same can be said about the GK 1000, and sources suggest that the Cruiser may soon go to the European market.
The European market has long enjoyed the advantages of Chinese-made two-wheeled vehicles, especially in the entry-level segment with many 125 cc models.cm sold by both large and small Chinese companies. However, in recent years, these brands have become more active and have demonstrated their intentions to join the top league. If and when the GK 1000 is released in Europe, it is expected that it will indeed be released under the Brixton brand for further expansion of the KSR Group model range.
Judging by the specifications, the GK 1000 is equipped with liquid cooling, fuel injection, and an 80-degree V-shaped twin engine that produces 90 horsepower. Gaokin states that the maximum speed is approximately 200 km/h. Other features include a throttle control system complete with multiple ride modes and traction control. It will also get KYB suspension and J brakes. Juan with dual-channel ABS. Last but not least, the motorcycle is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster equipped with a Bluetooth smartphone pairing function.
