Atelier Hennessey has finally presented a package of improvements for the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, which increases the output of the compressor “eight” to 1221 horsepower and 1223 Nm of torque. This is 58 percent more than the original fastback, but nevertheless less than the GT500 Code Red from Shelby American. Improvements to the Shelby GT500 will cost $59,950. The circulation will be 66 copies.
The Hennessey 1200 Mustang GT500 is one of the most formidable versions of the Mustang in history. The compressor “eight” here produces 1,221 horsepower and 1,223 Nm of torque, which exceeds the output of a conventional Shelby GT500 motor by 58 percent. Only the GT500 Code Red from Shelby American, whose Biturbo engine develops 1300 forces, can compete. Moreover, both there and their peak values are available only on bioethanol E85.

To get a 1200 Mustang GT500, you need to add another 59,950 dollars to the price of the Shelby GT500 (79,420 dollars). This amount includes the installation of a new 3.8-liter drive supercharger (it was 2.65 liters), reinforced belts and tensioners, an updated fuel ramp, injectors, as well as an air-oil separator and a high-flow intake system.
This is followed by recalibration of the engine and transmission control unit. Dynamic characteristics are not disclosed, although the usual Shelby GT500 can not be called slow (3.3 s to 60 mph). In total, Hennessey plans to build 66 copies of the Venom 1200. As an option, they will be able to order a livery in the style of a racing Ford Mark II GT40 (as in the photos). It costs $4,950.
