The new electric car Geely, model Zeekr 001, was driven in China, which was attended by representatives of the Guinness Book of Records. The car entered the Book twice: it managed to develop the highest speed in drift and slalom – in the first case it accelerated to 207.9 kilometers per hour, and in the second it drove between 50 cones in a record time of 49.05 seconds. As a result, the Zeekr 001 was officially recognized as the fastest electric car in these two categories.
Zeekr 001 is a sports electric crossover of Geely holding, which first debuted in April last year. It is built on the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform, and it is driven by a twin-engine installation with a capacity of 544 horsepower. From a place to “a hundred”, the electric car accelerates in 3.8 seconds and drives up to 700 kilometers on a single battery charge per 100 kilowatt-hours. It was such a 001 that was marked by two records.

In China, the model is already on sale and costs 386 thousand yuan for the simplest modification with one 272-power electric motor and an 86-kilowatt-hour battery. In just a month from the moment of entering the market, about two thousand copies were sold.
It is worth noting that the speed record in drift among cars with internal combustion engines still belongs to the Nissan GT-R 2016 model year, which managed to accelerate to 304.96 kilometers per hour. And the last record in slalom among cars with a traditional engine was set on a Porsche 718 Cayman Spyder 2020 release — the girl driving the sports car managed to drive five dozen cones in 47.45 seconds.
