The Ford F-150 pickup truck will soon receive an extremely charged version of the Raptor R. It should be submitted before the end of this year. This was stated by Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Motor Concern, who posted a video of the pickup truck tests on Twitter.
In the video, the new Ford F-150 Raptor R is being tested in the desert. The sports pickup truck demonstrates off-road qualities and dynamics. In addition, earlier the car was filmed by paparazzi on city streets.
Ford does not hide that they are creating the F-150 Raptor R as a competitor to the Ram 1500 TRX – the most powerful pickup truck in the world at the moment. However, the Raptor R will become even more powerful.
If a regular Ford F-150 Raptor pickup truck is equipped with a 3.5-liter turbocharged EcoBoost six, then a 5.2-liter compressor V8 is being prepared for the R-version, which was borrowed from the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. The engine develops 760 hp and has a torque of 845 Nm. Acceleration to 100 km / h will take about 4 seconds, that is, the dynamics will be no worse than some sports cars.

In the Mustang, this engine is paired with a 7-speed robotic gearbox, but a 10-speed automatic is being prepared for the Ford F-150 Raptor R. Like all Raptor family pickups, the newcomer will receive an electronic differential, reinforced suspension, and a mode selection system for different types of off-road driving.
You can distinguish the new Ford F-150 Raptor R by the air intake on the hood, 37-inch off-road tires, and increased ground clearance. It also became known that Recaro sports seats will appear in the cabin, and the equipment will include dual-zone climate control, a 12-inch touchscreen display, and an electric pedal drive.
