The first electric crossover Jeep was noticed in Italy. The model with factory designation Project 516 has spotted during the shooting of a promotional video, which means its premiere will take place soon. This is reported by the site Motor1.

Most likely, the crossover will be called Jeepster (in honor of the youth model of the 50-70-yeas) and will be presented at the end of this year or early next year. Jeep electric cars will be produced at the plant in the Polish city of Tychy.

Earlier images of Jeepster 2023 have already hit the Internet. The crossover has a muscular design with widened fenders and a high hood. The LED headlights are split, and the rear door handles are hidden in the roof pillars. The signature grille has been retained.

Jeep’s first electric car was created with the help of its Stellantis partners. It is built on the e-CMP platform like the Opel Mokka and Peugeot 2008 crossovers that already have electric versions. It will be the most compact model in the brand’s current lineup – about 4.1-4.15 meters in length.

It is expected that the Jeep Jeepster crossover will get a 136-horsepower motor and a 50-kW?h battery. Its range will be at least 300 km.
