New official photos first electric SUV of the Toyota Compact Cruiser EV have been published. The concept car is a harbinger of a new youth electric car. Details of the model were published on the official Toyota website.
Toyota’s first electric SUV will appear in a few years. His prototype has already been awarded a prestigious award for an original design in the spirit of the old Toyota Land Cruiser.

The new Toyota Compact Cruiser EV was first shown at the end of last year as part of the presentation of the new electric line of the Japanese brand. However, then practically no information about the first electric SUV of the brand was provided.
Now the Toyota Compact Cruiser EV electric car has become the object of increased attention because it was named the best concept car of the year and its designers from the European division of Toyota were awarded the Car Design Award.

The appearance of the Toyota Compact Cruiser EV is made in retro style. With its angular design, the SUV resembles the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 of the 60s, as well as its modern successor, the FJ Cruiser. The car has a classically two-volume silhouette, expanded wheel arches, and a high hood. The bottom is covered with protective plates.

The Toyota Compact Cruiser EV interior was shown only in one photo. The SUV has an unusual flattened steering wheel and two screens on the front panel.

According to preliminary information, Toyota’s production electric SUV will appear in a few years. Most likely, the compact model will be called the Lite Cruiser, which also hints at a kinship with the Land Cruiser.
